SCOTLAND YARD: Says attacker had no previous terrorism links.
THE Westminster attacker has been named as 52-year-old Khalid Masood by London police.
He was born in Kent and investigators believe he had been living in the West Midlands.
A Scotland Yard statement said he was known by several aliases, but that he had not been under investigation prior to yesterday’s attack, during which he and three other people died.
He had been previously convicted for assault, including GBH, possession of offensive weapons and criminal damage, but had no known links to terrorism.
Islamic militant group Daesh has claimed responsibility for the attack, in which PC Keith Palmet, Spanish teacher Aysha Frade and US tourist Kurt Cochran were killed before Masood was gunned down.
