A YOUNG man has been killed in a shooting in Granada which also resulted in the wounding of two others, according to a spokesperson for the National Police.
The incident occurred Thursday (9 March) afternoon in the inner courtyard of a residential building. At least three men have been implicated in the shooting, two of them brothers between the ages of 21 and 24. Both of Moroccan origin, one has died whilst the other has been seriously injured and transferred to the Hospital Ruiz de Alda for emergency treatment.
The police have opened an investigation to clarify what happened, keeping the area cordoned off and monitored. So far, no arrests have been made.
The incident comes after a young man died on February 22 on Calle Soto de Rojas in Granada, where days later a number of vehicles were found burning. However, the police have indicated that the three events appear to be unrelated.
