Rambla del Carmen's new road
MOTRIL’S City Council has improved Rambla del Carmen with an investment of €32,394.
La Rambla del Carmen, which is located between Calle de las Cañas and Barranco de las Monjas, finally has a new look thanks to two months of works carried out by the Department of Maintenance, Agriculture, Parks and Gardens.
The councillor responsible for the area, Gloria Chica, said this had been a commitment made by the government team to residents, who had asked for more parking and greater accessibility.
She explained that curbs and sidewalks have been lifted at crossroads to improve accessibility, lawn areas have been removed, small orange trees have been planted using a drip irrigation system and that six new parking spaces had been created. In addition, planters which had been a source of contention with residents, have been moved so as not to create humidity in nearby houses.
