THE WALLED OFF HOTEL: "A three-storey cure for fanaticism."
BRITISH street artist Banksy is launching a hotel with “the worst view of the world” in the West Bank city of Bethlehem.
Overlooking the barrier wall that separates the Palestinian Territory from Israel, the Walled Off, a play on Waldorf, hotel, is filled with the owner’s art and influence.
A statement from the notoriously anonymous artist said: “Walls are hot right now, but I was into them long before [Donald] Trump made it cool.
“[It’s] a three-storey cure for fanaticism, with limited car parking.”
Among the ten rooms is the Banksy Room, which features a mural depicting a pillow fight between a Palestinian and an Israeli.
In the Presidential Suite, water is stored in a bullet-ridden tank, while the budget room contains ex-army bunk beds.
The hotel is set to open on March 20, and bookings can be made via Banksy’s website.
