Suspected jihadist arrested over suicide killing plot

A MOROCCAN man who shared violent videos praising Daesh suicide killers and posed with his wife and son wearing clothing covered in the organisation’s emblems, has been arrested.
The man, who has not been named, had openly expressed his intention to carry out a jihadist killing.
The 33-year-old had actively tried to hide his identity when using the web, according to National Police.
He was also said to have expressed his hatred for Western culture and adopted a “fundamentalist aesthetic”.
This extended to calling on his relatives to convert to a more radical form of Islam and adopt rigorous religious customs.
The man was arrested in Las Palmas in Gran Canaria under anti-terrorism legislation on a charge of posing a threat to Spain’s national security.
