HAVING cost more than €179 million in his career which has taken him from his home in Argentina to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) via Benfica, Real Madrid and Manchester United, Ángel di María struck twice in a demolition of Barcelona.

Twice in the past four years, Barca have knocked the French team out of the last 16 of the Champions League but following a 4-0 demolition in Paris, it looks as if the Catalan team will be out for the first time since 2007 when they were beaten by Liverpool.

The Argentinian striker celebrated his birthday on top form, scoring goals in each half of the game with the other two coming from German Julian Draxler and Uruguayan Edinson Cavani who was also celebrating his birthday.

Most teams tremble when they are about to play against the normally fearsome Barcelona even when playing at home, but the visitors appeared totally disorganised and their coach Luis Enrique admitted that they were outplayed by PSG and he would have to change the team’s shape for the return match.

In the other game of the night, Benfica beat Dortmund 1-0 and tonight, (February 15) Real Madrid play Napoli at home whilst Arsenal travel to Bayern Munich.
