THE Guardia Civil has tweeted a warning to all of its subscribers, warning them of a resurrected scam which tries to get information and possibly money from those who receive what are convincing but fake e-mailed invoices supposedly from Endesa.
The scam invoices show large amounts of money due for payment together with a link which encourages consumers to check their bill and consumption. This leads to a new site which then attempts to obtain information from worried individuals.
The Guardia Civil campaign warns consumers not to click on the link but to delete any e-mail of this type that they receive.
