FORMER Real Madrid defender and Spanish youth team player, Leo Bermejo, is the latest celebrity to support the fight against cancer of his four-year-old namesake, Leo ‘the Lion’ Bermejo.
As well as sharing his name, young Leo loves football and his favourite team also happens to be Real Madrid.
Bermejo, the player, a tough left-back in the 90s, shared a tweet posted by the Euro Weekly News asking him to help the youngster in his fight against cancer.
The tweet said: “Could you RT (Retweet) to help a young football fan like yourself? His favourite team is Real Madrid!”
Leo is now in the UK waiting for his next operation which should take place on Wednesday.
