GUADALEST RESERVOIR: The water is too turbid for human consumption.
TAP water in Alfaz del Pi, Altea and La Nucia has once again been deemed unsuitable for human consumption.
The respective town councils have urged residents not to drink the water until further notice, due to increased turbidity provoked by the weekend rains.
Water entering the Guadalest reservoir, which the towns rely on for their municipal supplies, currently contains too much suspended material for safe consumption.
A similar problem affected the three communities following the last spate of bad weather at the end of December.
