Suspected hunter held after two men shot dead

A MAN has been arrested in connection with the deaths of two men in a rural area in the province of Lleida in Catalonia.

Both men were shot dead after apparently confronting the man in custody about his licences to hunt.

Jordi Jane, the Catalan interior minister, said the 28-year-old suspect then contacted police himself and gave them details about the encounter.

He revealed the dead men were shot in the head and said the man had acted violently and had clearly meant to kill his victims.
