The Spanish national government has mobilised around 200 workers and 66 emergency vehicles to help combat icy conditions across the Valencia region.
According to a government spokesperson, 850 Guardia Civil officers are also on standby in case conditions worsen.
Alicante remains on orange alert as the worst weather is expected to arrive on Thursday (19 January).
Roads and schools have also been closed in Denia
Social media have been inundated with videos and pictures of the snow.
