BENITACHELL is holding two competitions to commemorate International Women’s Day on March 8.
There is a €400 prize for the best poster and €200 for the winner of the Fotodona photographic competition with €100 for the runner-up.
The 50 x 70 centimetre posters should bear the legend ‘8 de marzo, Dia Internacional de la Dona’ with sufficient space for official logos.
Entries can be submitted until 2pm on February 7 and the winner will be announced on February 10.
More information is available on the town hall website www.elpoblenoudebenitatx ell.org.
The object of the Fotodona competition is giving a personal interpretation of International Women’s Day by using images of the bodies of Benitachell women.
“We want to give visibility to the diversity and richness of the different cultures that surround the women of our town. We want an evocative photograph taken with great sensibility that brings to light their latent beauty,” said Jacinta Pastor, Equality and Women’s councillor.
Entries can be presented until 2pm on February 15. More information is available on the town hall website www.elpoblenoudebenitatx ell.org
