Fugitive cocaine kingpin with permanent erection captured in Spain

AN Italian mafia boss who snorted so much cocaine he was left with a permanent erection has been arrested in Spain after seven years on the lam. Francesco Castriotta, nicknamed the ‘Lord of Coca’ had been sentenced to 21 years by a Milan court for conspiracy to supply cocaine across the EU.

The mob boss, considered northern Italy’s dominant drug lord in the 1990s, suffers from priapism, a painful condition caused by a lack of blood flow which leads to sore erections lasting for hours on end.

Castriotta escaped Italy when a female judge took pity on him in 2009, allowing him to live under house arrest until his trial rather than be mocked in prison for his condition. He famously held an ice-pack to his groin during the proceedings and claimed years of cocaine abuse was responsible for his awkward plight.

Unsurprisingly the mobster took advantage of the judge’s mercy and fled to Spain where he managed to escape the long arm of the law until January 9, 2017. It has been reported that Italian and Spanish police followed his mother as she slipped into Spain to visit her son for Christmas.

Castriotta was captured in El Vendrell, a small Catalonian town, and will now be deported to Italy to begin his sentence.
