TWO men have been arrested in Almoradi for allegedly carrying out more than 30 robberies and stealing more than 100 bicycles. A third person was arrested for receiving the stolen items.
The bikes were stolen and then sold in either stores or on second-hand selling sites on the internet.
Police said they stole the bikes from community garages which were broken into over the course of a year.
One of those arrested was a Moroccan national who has now been sent to a Foreigners Detention Centre waiting to be returned to Morocco, as he did not have the necessary papers to be in Spain. The others have been released on charges.
