THE latest parliamentarian to visit Gibraltar, Bulgarian MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk met with Deputy Chief Minister Dr Richard Garcia on December 19.
Mr Kyuchyuk is a vice president of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) and sits on the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs as well as being a substitute on the Committee for Culture and Education.
The MEP is in Gibraltar on a fact-finding visit concerning a number of issues relating to the potential withdrawal of the United Kingdom and Gibraltar from the European Union.
He also met with the Minister for Education Dr John Cortes, at the University of Gibraltar and with the Minister for Culture Steven Linares and all explained to him the wishes of the people of Gibraltar as expressed in the June 23 referendum vote.
