THE rain threatens to continue in the Costa Blanca on Sunday December 18 with an orange alert on for the day and the possibility of strong winds returning.

Yesterday and today (Sunday December 18) President of the Valencia region, Ximo Puig has been out and about reviewing the situation and thanking emergency workers for all of their hard work in this difficult time.

He has appealed to residents of the region to be sensible about travelling and to be careful during what could be another extremely dangerous and unpleasant day.
