An early call from Father Christmas

IN the same way that Superman and other superheroes hide their secret identities, a very special visitor made an unexpected but welcome appearance at the Triple A animal charity when Father Christmas arrived on Tuesday December 13 bearing 500 kilos of dog food.

When interviewed exclusively by Euro Weekly News the bearded bearer of good tidings was prepared to say “I was on the sleigh en route to France as we had heard that the government there might be adding vat to Christmas gifts and wanted to get everything stored before that happened.

We had had a long flight from Lapland and we crashed landed in Estepona where the reindeer complained that they were hungry. I sent the elves off to find some decent food for them but they came back with 500 kilos of dog biscuits which weren’t really suitable.

After taking a vote, the reindeer and elves decided that it would be best to donate the food to a wonderful charity we had heard about in Marbella, Triple A and here we are. Now I’m off to the land of Brexit to talk to customs and immigration there in order to make sure that we will be allowed in to visit all of the British children in the future as Lapland is part of the European Union.”

When pressed, Father Christmas declined to reveal his secret identity but said that he had a similar experience last year and had donated some vital supplies to an elderly lady (now deceased) who looked after stray animals. He also admitted that in his heart he is a cat man but likes dogs so Triple A which looks after both animals was an obvious choice.
