WHEN a Spanish father visited an IKEA store in Spain with his infant, he noticed that the sign on the door of the changing room appeared to show a woman changing a baby (although it could presumably illustrate either sex in a cagoule) and sent a tweet to the company asking if men were allowed to use the changing room.
Although this may have been somewhat tongue in cheek, IKEA responded very quickly saying that they would investigate the situation and try to replace the image with a new design which would make it clear that men or women were welcome to use the changing facility.
What may have been a bit of a joke has certainly showed that IKEA Spain at least takes enquiries from its customers seriously and will react positively to ensure that they (and their babies) are comfortable when they visit the store.
