Calls for toll road to be scrapped

MINISTER’S REQUEST: For toll booths to be removed.

MARIA JOSE SALVADOR, the Minister for Public Works of the Valencian government, has demanded that the national administration “make a clear bet on the Mediterranean Corridor and do not relegate it to second position.”

Her statements came during a congress regarding the coastal corridor, and one of her main requests was that the AP-7 motorway is opened up for all to use, with toll booths removed.

Further, the minister wishes that the under-used motorway is added to the state highways network on January 1, 2020, while adding that the Spanish government must also demonstrate “a clear commitment to finishing the rail network arteries in Valencia and Alicante.”
