The Murray brothers literally on top of the world (rankings)

Jamie and Andy Murray.

OFTEN overlooked because of the recent achievements of his younger brother, it should be remembered that Jamie Murray won his first Wimbledon title before Andy (albeit mixed doubles) and has enjoyed considerable success in men’s doubles.

Now in his first year partnering Brazilian Bruno Soares, he is guaranteed to finish the year as part of the number one men’s doubles pair and this is only the third time that a new team has achieved this.

With brother Andy also being number one at the moment, the two brothers have certainly been a major inspiration for many budding British tennis players and hopefully this success will erase any disappointment that the family may have had following Judy Murray’s less than perfect time in Strictly Come Dancing.
