Lewis Hamilton wins in Brazil to take F1 championship battle down to the wire

IT was a wild day in Sao Paulo as Lewis Hamilton stormed to victory in the Brazilian Grand Prix and piled the pressure on Nico Rosberg, who needs a top three finish in Abu Dhabi to secure his first world title.

Rosberg finished second and Verstappen third in chaotic conditions  that saw the race halted due to the thunderously wet weather that dragged the action on for more than three hours.

Rosberg would have been crowned champion had he won today but, despite Hamilton taking the competition right down to the wire, looks set to win his maiden title.

Hamilton will need to win in Abu Dhabi and hope his Mercedes team mate finishes outside the top three if he is to win his third consecutive championship.
