ONE of the high spots in the Marbella social calendar is the annual St Nikolaus Dinner at the Puente Romano Hotel which this year will be held on November 25 at 8.30pm in order to raise funds for the Concordia Anti-Aids Asociacion (ACAS).

The association often referred to simply as Concordia was set up in 1994 in order to offer help and assistance to those people affected by HIV/AIDS and is run from a dedicated centre at Calle Carlota Navarrete, 21 in San Pedro de Alcantara which opened in 1997.

Funds for this very worthy charity which is run with the support of the Ayuntamiento de Marbella are so important and their president Princess Marie-Louise of Prussia, great grand-daughter of Kaiser Wilhelm II and cousin to Queen Sophia, works tirelessly with her colleagues to obtain funds for this very worthy charity. The St Nikolaus dinner is a very important way of bringing the never ending problem of the disease to the attention of the public.

This is an occasion where guests can enjoy an incredibly good meal in luxurious surroundings and know that whilst they are having a good time, they are also helping those who are struggling with this illness which happily – thanks to advances in medical science – is no longer a guaranteed death sentence.

Tickets for the dinner which cost €180 per person and include entertainment and a visit from St Nikolaus can be obtained by calling 952 785 997 or 952 588 322 or can be reserved by e-mailing info@concordiamarbella.com
