The two containers.
THE Motril Council has been working with the Residents Association of the Balcon de San Fernando and cleaning company Limdeco to encourage civic pride in the neighbourhood and their first collaboration has resulted in a complete makeover for two of the six glass recycling collection containers.
With the participation of the School of Art in Motril, a number of designs were chosen and in due course all six containers will be repainted, but the first two, ‘Gypsy Girl’ by Patricia Garcia Toquero, and ‘Ducklings’ by Julio Jodar have been unveiled in Sierra Nevada Avenue and Monte Perdido which will add a splash of colour to the area and hopefully encourage children in particular to want to become more environmentally friendly.
