BOOSTING TRADE: Encouraging tourists to visit.

THE Department of Trade in Almuñecar and La Herradura has unleashed a new campaign aimed at boosting local trade and “to guide visitors outside peak months, and encourage them to visit and shop in our local market, where they can find quality products,” according to Trade and Tourism councillor, Rafael Caballero Jimenez.

“This campaign is centred on visitors and tourists who spend their holidays in our town, and who we want to invite to stroll through our streets to discover the variety and quality of products available in our establishments, all served up by professionals with extensive experience in the sector.”

A swathe of promotional material has been produced, including a free map which highlights the main sites of interest for tourists and shoppers alongside the slogan ‘Shopping in Almuñecar.’

Posters for shops and hotels to display have also been designed, along with four information ‘marquees’ which will be located at strategic points around the town.

Jimenez also confirmed his department is once again working with the Caritas Parish Church for the Christmas campaign ‘No child without a toy.’
