ACCORDING to the latest survey of hotel prices in Spain from the Trivago comparison site, Murcia is the cheapest city for staying in a hotel, with Barcelona being the most expensive.
The average price of a double in the Murcia Region is €60, with Barcelona’s average at €171 for one night.
Meanwhile, Murcia is expecting more hotel stays, following news of an agreement with a French tour operator that is expected to generate 15,400 hotel nights in the Region.
Aguilas will be the main destination that will welcome French tourists during the next two years with the tour operator Sea Voyage.
Murcia’s Minister Juan Hernandez, is in Paris with the director of the Institute of Tourism, Manuel Fernández-Delgado, visiting the Professional Exhibition of Tourism and Travel.
They are aiming to promote Aguilas as one of the main destinations on the Costa Calida, which currently has seven ‘Q’ for Quality awards.
