AS PART of a long-running relationship with the Gibraltar Youth Service, the charity committee of the Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) has once again funded a weekend residential event for 18 young people from the Plater and Laguna Youth Club.

This fun packed weekend took place at La Finca in Alcaidesa and saw Plater and Laguna staff team up with the Royal Gibraltar Police and monitors of La Finca to deliver outdoor adventure based activities which, further strengthened the relationship between the Youth Service, RGP and the youngsters involved.

Those youngsters participating experienced new opportunities and were able to build and develop their personal and social skills by actively participating in a number of activities including canoeing, rock climbing, archery, horse riding, hiking and a number of team building activities.

This experience enabled young people to initiate, build and maintain relationships, face new challenges and further develop a productive working relationship with the local police force.
