The Great Gilly Hopkins

Gilly Hopkins has spent her life moving from one foster home to another stirring up trouble wherever she has gone. Faced with another foster home, this time in the loving Christian home of Mamie Trotter, Gilly once again kicks off terrifying another boy living in the foster home and stealing from the blind man across the street.

She’s not really a delinquent, all she wants is to be reunited with her birth mum, who abandoned her, and be a real family. She develops a ploy to try and make this happen thinking her mum will come to her rescue but her plan backfires and may ruin any chances of her being part of a real family.
