GRIM FORECAST: It will be a wet weekend on the Costa del Sol.
THE cloudiness and slight drop in temperatures over the last few days should serve as a warning of what is to come, with persistent rainfall expected throughout Malaga province over the coming weekend and continuing until Tuesday October 25, the state meteorological agency Aemet has warned.
Forecasts indicate that the rains will be moderately intense, with an average of 10 litres per square metre predicted to fall each hour.
The likelihood of rainfall on the Costa del Sol during the day on Saturday and Sunday is currently 90 per cent, although Antequera may be slightly drier.
These first days of genuine autumn rains will be accompanied by plummeting temperatures, with the mercury expected to fall to around 20°C, although it should rise again from Wednesday onwards.
