PROVINCIAL technicians have analysed the state of the houses in Calle Salitre in Callosa de Segura. Several architects have been sent to study the situation because at least three properties have seen their foundations start to give way.
Owners have had to move out of the properties that are in danger of collapse on a busy road through the town and are now waiting for compensation and to be able to move back in. The properties were affected by a water leak from the street supply, managed by Aqualia.
Callosa’s mayor, Francisco Macia, visited the site with the president of the Provincial Government, Cesar Sanchez, to try and look at solutions to this problem to get residents back home as soon as possible as civil engineers assessed the damage.
Macia said: “The provincial government always takes good care of us and we have received much support and rapid response.”
