Learn a language and make friends

JAVEA’S Foreign Residents’ Relations department is recommencing its ‘Hablemos Mas – Let’s Speak More’ language programme. As in previous years Javea’s residents can learn other languages thanks to conversation classes with native English, German, and French speakers.

There are seven different English groups at basic, intermediate, and advanced level, as well as a group for basic German conversation and another for French. Spanish volunteers are needed, however, to provide a satisfactory balance, explained Foreign Residents’ councillor Doris Courcelles.

Everybody who has taken part in the programme before was very happy with the results, the coordinators said, as they can practise their English, French, and German while making new friends.
