FRIEL: Has three months to comply with the council´s demands.
Rochdale-born film and TV actress Anna Friel has been ordered to make changes to an extension at her £1m Windsor home or face having to tear it down.
The 40-year-old, who came to public prominence as Beth Jordache in Channel 4’s Brookside, has three months to comply with the Windsor Council enforcement order.
The authority claims the extension differs from what was given planning permission in 2014 and says its requests for changes have been ignored.
In a statement the actress has apologised to the council and pledged that the necessary alteration work will be carried out within three months.
Windsor Council´s Malcolm Alexander said Ms Friel was a high profile resident but “we can’t make exceptions.”
