Gibraltar Customs Post
GIBRALTAR Customs have just released the news that in the early evening of October 3, they were advised by officers of the Gibraltar Defence Police that an unidentified person had been seen entering Gibraltar illegally via Western Beach.
Officers immediately headed for the area where they noticed a car leaving the area and an individual jumped out of the car, throwing away a bag that he was carrying and ran off with officers chasing him.
The owner of the vehicle and a female passenger were detained as was the person who had run away. When officers searched the discarded bag, they discovered 12 slabs of cannabis resin weighing 600 grams and estimated as having a value of £3,000.
The three people, two Gibraltarians and one Spaniard were released on bail to appear on January 4, 2017.
