Child hit with bottle in Edinburgh-Alicante flight violence

VIOLENCE CONTINUES: Despite best efforts to curb airport alcohol abuse.

TWO gangs of ‘absolutely hammered’ men brawled on board an Alicante-bound flight from Edinburgh and were detained by Spanish police upon the 11.15am Ryanair flight’s arrival in the Costa Blanca on October 6.

A ten-year-old child was reportedly struck on the head by a flying wine bottle during the fracas between two separate stag dos.

Four men were arrested and held overnight in Spain, despite their best efforts to thwart identification by switching clothes before landing.

A Ryanair official said “We will not tolerate unruly or disruptive behaviour at any time and the safety and comfort of our customers, crew and aircraft is our number one priority. This is now a matter for local police.”
