SULTRY: Vinila von Bismark is among the headliners.
THE DeFest music festival returns to Rincon de la Victoria on October 1 to close the town’s party season following a hugely successful debut in 2015.
Dedicated to showcasing the best in contemporary Indie pop and rock, the blowout promises a feast of guitar-laden sets from the likes of Delorean and Vinila von Bismark, among others.
The event will once again occupy grounds of the Manuel Laza Palacio School, where a large outdoor stage will be erected to accommodate the four groups and local disc-spinners, We Are Not DJs.
Up to 2,000 revellers will thus be treated to the pristine electro-pop of Delorean, the exotic rock and roll stylings of Ms Von Bismark, with Malaga-based warm up acts Oh, Trikelians! and J J Sprondel set to ensure the crowd are well-oiled.
There will be a charge this time round, after last year’s free event was funded entirely by Rincon Council, and tickets will be available from a yet-to-be announced source shortly.
