DEBT LOWERED: Town hall is paying off debt worth 17 million euros.

TORREVIEJA has reduced the municipal debt to 35.4 million euros. A few weeks ago the city was amongst the six most indebted in the Valencian Region.

However, at the last council meeting the burden of two loans was removed with a debt repayment of 17 million euros. With these payments, the city now becomes one of the municipalities with the lowest debt in relation to the number of citizens. The debt equates to around 200 euros for every citizen.
