IMPRESSIVE SHOW: The musical spectacular took place with the Roman viaduct as a backdrop.
THE Atarfe Symphonic Orchestra wowed the crowd as they played a special concert in in the heart of historic Almuñecar on Tuesday, September 6.
The musical spectacular took place with the incomparable setting of the ancient Roman viaduct as a backdrop, with virtuoso conductor Jose Antonio Guerrero lending his expert skills to proceedings.
A full rendition of the musical ‘Entremares’ was extremely well-received, with the outstanding tenor Jose Manuel Zapata, guitarist Fernando Egozcue and bandoneon player Darius Polonara showcasing a unique form of tango along with other melodious delights.
A standing ovation was the inevitable conclusion of what was a truly impressive show, with Granada-born Zapata offering up a cracking encore to close proceedings on what everyone agreed was a truly memorable evening.
