OFFICERS of the National Police were searching cars disembarking from the Tangier ferry in Tarifa when they discovered a 19-year-old Moroccan girl hidden in a special compartment in the boot of a car and due to the heat , the girl was experiencing difficulties in breathing.
The two occupants of the car a Moroccan father 54 and son 28, who were uncooperative with the officers from the beginning have been arrested on suspicion of trying to smuggle an individual into Spain.
Whilst the girl was given medical assistance, the men were transferred to Algeciras for interview to discover whether they are part of a human trafficking ring or were acting independently.
