Rock music takes a stance against gender violence

Eddie Vedder, lead singer with the band Pearl Jam, interrupted his concert in Chicago on Tuesday August 22 to have a man who appeared to be assaulting a woman in the audience thrown out of the auditorium and only continued after checking that the woman was unhurt. 

Earlier this year, popular Spanish artist Alejandro Sanz similarly halted a concert in Mexico when he spotted a young woman being harassed by a male.
