IT DOESN’T seem like a year since Elliott Wright, former star of The Only Way is Essex and now on the small screen in Playa from Marbella as well as popular restaurateur opened Olivia’s in La Cala de Mijas.

A great deal of blood, sweat and tears not to mention money went into the creation of this exceptional restaurant which attracts locals and visitors for breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails.

The main restaurant which has a fantastic patio as well as very roomy restaurant inside the building has been expanded to the top floor where the impressive Seafood and Champagne bar welcomes visitors to taste some of the freshest seafood and sushi on the coast as diners overlook the Mediterranean which is literally just across the road.

TV viewers have watched the trials and tribulations of Elliott and his fiancée Sadie as the restaurant approached its opening with help from parents Eddie and Debbie who themselves have run very successful restaurants in the Costa Blanca, where Elliott himself learned his trade.

The great and good of the area were invited to visit Olivia’s (named after Elliott’s daughter) on August 17 to help celebrate the first anniversary of what is fast becoming a legend on the Costa del Sol culinary scene and there is no doubt that the hard work he, his family and all of the staff at the restaurant have put into making this restaurant such a success has been worthwhile.

Imaginatively decorated in a quiet road overlooking the beach, this really is a restaurant to visit and savour as can be seen by the number of positive tweets on Elliott’s Twitter account @elliottwright.

Euro Weekly News is a great supporter of those who create work and wealth in Spain and we are delighted to be able to congratulate Elliott on all he has achieved in such a short space of time and wish him and the restaurant well for the future.
