EYE-CATCHING GEM: The Lamborghini Aventador.
DONNINGTON PARK in Derby held the Fast Car Festival, attracting more than 6,000 spectators and enthusiasts in an impressive debut for the nascent motoring jubilee.
On display for the lucky guests was a rare Aston Martin Vulcan, one of only 24 produced, boasting an insane 800hp, weighing just 1,350kg and priced at well over €2 million.
Other eye-catching gems included a Lamborghini Aventador, Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, McLaren 650S and a Jaguar F-Type R Project 7.
It wasn’t your typically exclusive high-end motoring show, however, and saw plenty of professional interaction with the crowd, some of whom joined former Fifth Gear presenter Tiff Needell for a few laps in his Lotus Evora 400, while others were taught how to steer a classic Caterham Seven around the track.
