Requiem for the American Dream

Chomsky breaks down the roots of the rapidly growing inequality in the US and the world, with a backdrop of newsreel footage and animation illustrating his points as he goes along in this absorbing, concise documentary. At the end, he concludes that “there’s a lot that can be done if people organise, struggle for their rights as they’ve done in the past,” but the feeling, is that, given all the challenges he lists, he no longer really believes that meaningful change is possible.
