Lewis Hamilton
HIS sixth win in seven races saw Lewis Hamilton storm to a 19-point F1 Championship lead over Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg after securing victory in Sunday’s German Grand Prix.
It was a fairly disastrous outing for Rosberg who followed up his heroics yesterday, that saw him start in pole, by appearing to get himself stuck in reverse while his competitors stormed past to leave him in fourth almost from the get go.
The German was later punished with a five-second time penalty after pushing Max Verstappen off the track while Hamilton put in an immaculate performance to smoothly steer his way to the 49th win of his history-making career.
Second and third were Daniel Ricciardo and Verstappen respectively, while Rosberg finished fourth in a hugely disappointing outing in his home event.
