SHOOTING IRON: A pistol in a box was among the confiscated weapons.
THREE suspects have been arrested over the murder of a 34-year-old Colombian man in Mijas, who died after being shot at close range while he sat in his car.
Two men riding a motorcycle apparently approached the victim’s vehicle and blasted him seven times, killing him instantly.
Having initially suspected that the slaughter was related to drug trafficking, a Guardia Civil investigation has concluded that this was the case, with raids on five properties resulting in the seizure of two kilos of cocaine, five firearms including two shotguns and three handguns, bulletproof vests, and ammunition, plus the motorcycle that was used in the drive-by shooting.
