ACT OF QUAD: The bikes and parts confiscated by police.
NATIONAL POLICE in Malaga City have detained three men aged between 24 and 26 years old for the theft of at least one quad bike, with two other vehicles seized during the raid that led to their arrests.
A short investigation began when the manager of a show room called in to complain that one of his bikes had gone missing, with a human-plus-quad shaped hole having been cut out of a perimeter fence surrounding his business.
Detectives discovered that the stolen machine had been partially modified, with a new chassis installed and was now being driven about by the new ‘owner’, with documentation associated to it having been amended in his name.
Subsequent investigations revealed the identities of the alleged desperados, before it transpired that the chassis and documents had been obtained legally, before parts of the stolen bike were bolted on to improve its looks.
