Faye and Edwina outside Gibraltar House
TWO brave members of the Gibraltar House team in London have temporarily taken leave of their senses and agreed to jump out of an aircraft flying at 15,000 feet in order to help raise funds for the newly purchased Calpe House in London which is in the process of being redeveloped as accommodation for families of Gibraltarians sent to London for medical treatment.
Faye Burfoot and Edwina O’Mahony will take part in tandem skydives on August 20 in the area of Seville where they will ‘enjoy’ a minute of freefall and hit speeds of up to 130 mph.
Although, hopefully they will enjoy the activity, the important thing to remember is that this is a serious attempt to persuade Gibraltarians and others to sponsor them at the Calpe House Appeal.
Donations to the Appeal can be made by bank transfer:
Account: The Friends of Calpe House
Bank: The Gibraltar International Bank
Sort Code: 60 83 14
Account No: 06569001
Reference: Skydive
Alternatively send a cheque payable to The Friends of Calpe House for the attention of Faye Burfoot and Edwina O’Mahony, Gibraltar House, 150 Strand, London WC2R 1JA
