SHINY: The sparkling new latrines.
FUENGIROLA has become the first Costa del Sol municipality to install self-cleaning public toilets, with four units now in place on the resort town’s Los Boliches, Castillo, Carvajal, and Fuengirola beaches.
The modules are open from 8am until midnight and are adapted for disabled users, with the entire space, including the toilet bowl and floor, given a thorough automated ablution 30 seconds after being flushed, with a maximum 15 minutes allowed per visit.
