Local expat’s new book

AMERICAN writer Felicia Hall, who lives with her husband Andrew in La Herradura, will be presenting her new book in Spanish at the Centro Civico at 9pm on Sunday (July 3).

The book, in honour of the people of the area, describes her memories and speaks of the post-war years, the years of restraint and the years of abundance and ponders on whether the present is better than the past.

Hall studied English Literature at Tufts University in the US and has known La Herradura since 1970. She has translated children’s stories from Spanish into English for an American publisher and written essays for an English art magazine.

She owned the Felicia Hall Art Gallery in La Herradura, which for many years attracted important artists from the Spanish and international scenes, and is now presenting her new book on life in the area.
