Spanish flag unveiled in Gibraltar, but not anywhere near any Gibraltarians!

The Spanish Flag unfurled.

THE Gibraltar Broadcasting Company has published the fact that a large Spanish flag that was placed on the west side of the Upper Rock on Monday, June 20 has been removed by the Royal Gibraltar Police.

No doubt, whoever undertook the action did so in the full knowledge that if the flag had been unfurled in an area where Gibraltarians were present, it probably would have become a little uncomfortable for them!

There has been no record of a sighting of the interim Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation in the vicinity but presumably the action was taken as a protest following the visit of David Cameron.

One local wit tweeted “Toilet paper donated by Spanish fascists for Barbary Macaques, how kind of them.”
