A LUXURY VILLA owned by 1980s crooner and Euro 2016 commentator Glenn Hoddle for the last 13 years has gone on sale in Sotogrande.

Aside from football, the ex-England, Spurs and Monaco star’s other great passion is golf, leading him to purchase the swanky Costa del Sol pad, but he has now decided to seek fresh fairways in another part of the world.

He said: “I love the area of Sotogrande and there are some of the most wonderful golf courses in Europe there. I love my golf and have enjoyed many years here.

“My favourite part of the house is the terrace, I’ve spent many, many hours chilling and eating with family and friends. The views are wonderful and there is a calmness sitting there.

“I’ve had the house as a holiday home for about 13 years but feel I want to experience a different place now.”

The stunning house has five bedrooms distributed over three floors, all of which are blessed with private terraces, plus four bathrooms and two reception rooms, while a huge swimming pool is nestled within verdant landscaped gardens.

It boasts spectacular views over the Andalucian countryside and local golf course, and also comes with a garage for two cars, underfloor heating and a spacious games room.

Those wishing to emulate the man who favoured a fast-and-loose approach to what constitutes acceptable menswear during his playing and brief musical careers can do so for a cool €2.4 million.
