THE Public Prosecutor intends to request seven-year jail sentences for JSG and JIMG, two administrators of a real estate business who are accused of taking money from four customers as deposits for homes which had yet to be constructed in Loma Cabrera, Almeria, and failing to build the properties.
The two, the prosecution has stated, agreed to take over the land in question from its owners in exchange for two flats and a garage space in the future building, and took deposits from four prospective property purchasers.
However construction never even started and rather than giving monies paid back the two pocketed it. Along with the requested jail sentences, the prosecution has requested fines of €12 per day for 18 months and compensation of €86,201 in total for the customers affected by the pairs fraudulent activities.
